It is best to consult with Your Orthopedic Doctor or Physical Therapist to get an x-ray or mri and ask them if You would benefit from Physical Therapy or Scoliosis Gym. Our Team is based in Ocean City, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia where We have the most availability. Additionally, With our outreach program We serve locations throughout all 50 states in the USA so if You live anywhere in the USA We can guarantee 4 appointments per year. We plan on working with People in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America about 1 to 4 times per year. Lastly with online appointments We can get started working on Your back without the limitation of travel. We will go over Your case to design the best possible plan for You.
Your appointment will be similar in intensity to a Physical Therapy appointment.
To maximize the benefit of Your appointment - keep the following in mind:
Get a good night sleep the night before and after Your appointment.
Please eat a healthy meal and drink water a few hours before your appointment so you are ready (energized and hydrated).
Wear comfortable athletic clothing in which you can move well. Layers are a good idea incase You get cold or hot. A long sleeve T-shirt with a sports top underneath with a thin strap in the back is helpful to maintain Your privacy when We need to see Your back.
At your appointment we will exercise the exact back muscles that straighten your case of scoliosis. We will lead You through Your custom tailored exercises step by step. It takes about 1 hour to slowly exercise all the relevant muscles and gently work Your back toward Your most optimal anatomical posture. Most people feel fine during their appointment and find the appointment easy to follow and relaxing. We encourage open communication so We can accommodate what’s most important to You.
